In the year 1969, Sandip Guchait left his village at the age of 13 and started working as a jewellery apprentice in a small workshop in Zaveri Bazaar in Mumbai.

Determination and Perseverance in raising the benchmark of quality in handmade jewellery have been his passion and has been constant since the last 40 years.
Mr. Sandeep is known for his quality craftsmanship, especially in creating fine lightweight jewellery.

In 2000, he was appreciated by the ‘World Gold Council’ for producing the finest quality of craftsmanship in the Jewellery Creation.

Mr. Tamal Guchait
Managing Director
Tamal is a business graduate from Kingston University, London.
​
Before joining Guchiat Jewellery, he was heading the national jewellery team that participated in various WorldSkills Competition. It was under his leadership, for the first time in the history, India won its first-ever medal (bronze) in a WorldSkills Competition in Kazan, 2019, a bronze medal in Global Skills Challenge, Australia and Silver Medal in National competition WorldSkills, France.
Tamal has also worked with Gems & Jewellery Skill Council of India under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, where he has been instrumental in skilling and up-skilling of more than 4 lakh jewellery artisans across India.
